The Diploma in Public Services

In September 2010 the Diploma in Public Services will be taught in a limited number of locations, through groups of schools and colleges (‘Consortia’) that were successful in completing the quality control measures known as the ‘Gateway’ process. Details of CONSORTIA DELIVERING IN SEPTEMBER 2010 will be available soon.

Ministers have taken the decision not to hold the Gateway process in the future, although consortia which applied through Gateway 4 to teach the Diploma from September 2011 will still have to meet any conditions when they complete their autumn review. Schools and colleges that did not apply to Gateway 4 may deliver this Diploma from September 2011 if they choose, in line with the decision by the Department for Education (DfE) to move towards a less centralised curriculum. Details of educational institutions planning to deliver the Diploma in Public Services in SEPTEMBER 2011 will be available soon, PLEASE NOTE this list is subject to change as policy becomes clearer.
